  • From the presentation I realised that we are precious to God and that life is valuable
  • Even though the baby is not born it is still a person
  • I didn’t realise the consequences of abortion before – makes you realise how intricate we are

  • The presentation gave me a greater understanding of life and the consequences of bad choices
  • Abortions can lead to many physical and emotional problems so we should prevent this ever happening to us
  • I will tell my friends that abortion is not a simple way to get rid of problems but it actually leads to problems
  • I would like Government schools to give more sex education due to the high amount of teenage abortions

MALE:

  • Sex has consequences and guys need to respect girls – abortion affects both male and female
  • The presentation informed me of things I did not previously know – allows me to act with wisdom
  • Abortion doesn’t just affect the woman, but also family and friends

FEMALE:

  • You shouldn’t take your baby’s life because it is worth something – it is not just a blob of cells
  • Every life is independent and special
  • A baby is someone – it has a heart, it’s not a blob of cells
  • The program confirmed to me that we were made by God and we’re all different and special and that every person matters - however small
  • It was helpful to understand the major changes and development of our bodies throughout pregnancy
  • It’s not just a bunch of cells in you, but someone’s life
  • Abortion takes away the rights of a living being

MALE:

  • It’s not just about you if you get someone pregnant – it’s about two other people
  • The presentation gave me a better understanding of how we are before we are born
  • Each person is special, so don’t kill them with abortion
  • Don’t have safe sex, but save sex until after marriage
  • You shouldn’t take a little baby’s life away and I wouldn’t want my wife to have an abortion

SOME PERCEPTIVE YEAR 12 FEMALE STUDENTS

  • The presentation shows the truth and opens your eyes that the choices you make you must deal with the consequences – Life is so precious
  • I never realised how massive the abortion problem is. I have always been brought up with morals but these facts are massive and the choices I make are definitely going to be thought through more thoroughly
  • People need to know the truth, even just the facts of the issue. It is so confronting and disturbing to realise that abortion is legalised, how an innocent life is taken – they are so helpless
  • It spoke straight to my heart – I hope and pray I will be able to pass on the information I have obtained to help someone else
  • It’s amazing the facts everyone needs to know of such dangers!
  • “I wish someone had told me” – I love it how you are!
  • Such injustice is incredible but what you are doing has inspired me so much – thank you so much – you have helped me IMMENSELY.
  • Every presentation promoting life is a presentation that we can get something to define and solidify what I believe in and why
  • Absolutely Pro-life is 100% truth in my heart – no sex before marriage and no abortion have always been my strong values
  • The government and society think they are doing what’s best for us – when people don’t know the truth about abortion. Society is lying to us and I hate it. It encouraged me to look at things more clearly

REFLECTIONS OF A YEAR 12 AND A YEAR 11 STUDENT

  • I have two-year old nephew and he has brought so much joy to so many lives including mine. His parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends pour so much loveinto his life and he has an incredible potential and future with God. That’s how every child should have it – or at least have the chance to have it.
  • I just want to say how much society, movies, music and television are ripping you off – the media and the government may think that what they are telling you is right or true … but we need to stand up for ourselves and find out the truth and the facts for ourselves. Don’t always believe everything you hear.

FEMALE

  • Abortion is really something that is hard to deal with and that once you have it you regret it
  • I know that I won’t ever have an abortion but it also helped me to become more compassionate towards those that have had an abortion
  • I would never have an abortion but I have friends that have and I have seen the effects afterwards
  • Abortion is a drastic option and that it affects the male and female – spiritually, physically and emotionally
  • It helped me understand the value of life even more and how abortion is such a massive issue in our society
  • It helped me to understand that an unborn child is a human being not just a bunch of cells. I would never consider the abortion option but today fully encouraged me that abortion shouldn’t be an option for anyone else
  • It’s important that other people of our age learn and gain an understanding of abortion and how it is such a horrible issue
  • More people need to hear this and something needs to be done about those statistics in Australia
  • I saw the importance of justice to the helpless and the effect our choices have on the innocent – God has a heart for justice
  • Be very careful to save sex for marriage – if ever anything went wrong I know God can bring good out of it – the child is a precious gift

MALE

  • The presentation reminded me that all our decisions made in life add to our purpose and it helped me to understand the importance of every life and no one has the right to take away another life.
  • The presentation has built stronger the beliefs I already have about sex and the male – female relationship
  • Some of my friends don’t fully understand how large the decision is about sex in their lives and why it is one of the most serious and sacred things between a male and female
  • This information highly values human life and reveals the truth into some of the society’s major issue that are unseen to the general public

I realised how much the baby is like a real person – I learnt heaps

Even though you are a baby you still have a personality and God made you special

I understood more – it is a great presentation to learn about babies

Babies such their thumb because it feels like breast-feeding

My friends need to know how it all happens so they will know how their life began

I found out that my life began before I was born

You know about it for when you have a baby

It made me very grateful for my life

There were lots of things I didn’t know before about babies in the womb

Babies go through different stages while in the mother’s womb

I thought babies were just things before they were born – now I know they are real people and they are alive

FEMALE:

  • The presentation made me rethink life’s morals and to understand and realise what a great God we have, how much He loves us and how perfectly He has made us. I want to live my life for God because He has made me to give glory and honour to Him. I need to act the way He has intended me to. I believe everyone in life needs to be told/shown things that will benefit them in life; also the risks involved in doing the wrong thing. They need to know God! I hope that I will never be in a circumstance where I have to make a decision about doing the right thing when it comes to sex and abortion. I hope that my beliefs now will be the same all through my life – being pure until marriage. I know we will be blessed by God if we do the right thing. I also know that it’s hard to uphold your morals and beliefs because of peer pressure, TV, media, etc. I pray that this program will help many people and help them understand the importance of life. God is the only one who can save us.
  • God’s way is the only way. He loves me, created me in his image and wants the best for me. The presentation helped me to know how to deal with people who have had abortions or are suffering from guilt. I know now that, as a friend, I can help out by pointing my peers to Jesus who provides the only means of healing; also to show compassion. I know that I want to save myself for my husband whom God has already handpicked for me. I am so grateful to have been provided with the immensely important information for myself and my friends.
